“Thinkering” is a term that describes experimentation as a style of thinking and learning related to the process of making and using (Huhtamo, 2011). Through this project, I replicate both outdated and modern technologies to thinker with them.

This process has expanded my understanding of technologies regardless of their nature as analog, electric, or digital devices and has revealed their performative quality and the ability to create actions.

Experimenting with technology requires collecting, thinkering, translating, and grasping the technology. These acts allow us to discover technology's performative nature. This performativity generates a system of communication, collaboration, and content creation that reflects the "intra-action" between the device and user, material and discourse, and human and nonhuman (Barad, 2018).
